Whereas other medical billing services play by the rules sent to them, Advantage is involved with the rule makers. We are Beta testers of a major insurance company's latest electronic submission software. This gives us the opportunity to "fix" problems before they foisted on all the medical and billing professions. We are committed to ensuring the best and fastest electronic filing in the medical billing community. To this end, we are members of the Minnesota Health Data Institutes's Implementation Guide Group. This group is currently responsible for review and comment on the developing national health care electronic commerce ANSI ASC X12N implementation guide. Our participation with the IGG allows us to act on, rather than react to, the upcoming changes of the National EDI standards which have been mandated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. We are a respected member and actively involved with the Minnesota Chapter of the American Associating of Healthcare Administrative Managers (formerly AGPAM) a large group of medical billing professionals.

A significant benefit of our involvement with these groups is the access we have to the most knowledgeable pool of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing professionals in the business.
